Overview
Next.js is the industry-standard framework for building fast, maintainable React applications — but its modern architecture (App Router, Server Components, server actions) is a genuine shift from the React many teams learned.
This course brings your developers up to speed on how Next.js applications are actually built today. We start from the mental model — where code runs, what renders when — and build outward: routing, data fetching, forms and mutations, authentication patterns, and deployment.
The course centers on building a real application together, so every concept is immediately applied and every trade-off discussed against production experience.
What You'll Learn
- Understand the App Router model: layouts, pages, and nested routes
- Know what runs where: Server Components vs. Client Components
- Fetch and cache data correctly, with revalidation strategies
- Build forms and mutations with server actions
- Implement authentication and route protection
- Deploy and operate a production Next.js application
